Rector and Vice rector

Rector

Ole Gustavsen is the Rector of the Oslo School of Architecture and Design in Oslo, Norway. He studied architecture at AHO and design at Westerdals Oslo School of Arts, Communication and Technology and is educated as an architect, designer and carpenter.  He holds different position in the field of research and architecture, a.o. as the Chair Board of Directors at the Arctic University Museum and Academy of Arts in Tromsø, member of Board of Directors at the Oslo Architecture Triennale and representative of Norway in a sub-group of coordinators for the recognition of professional qualifications for Architectural Education in the European Commission.  Ole Gustavsen is also a member of the National Committee for Agenda 2030 in the Higher Education Sector to strengthen the role of the university sector as a relevant actor in the global debate on sustainability. He was also a partner at the global architectural design firm Snøhetta for 20 years.

Vice Rector

Irina Lugovskaia is a vice-rector of Saint-Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Saint-Petersburg, Russia). She is educated as a philologist and specialist in comparative pedagogics. She studied philology in Pomor State University named after Lomonosov (Archangelsk, Russia), defended her PhD thesis in Russian State Pedagogical University (Saint-Petersburg, Russia) and her Doctoral thesis in Saint-Petersburg State University (Saint-Petersburg, Russia). She has experienced as a rector of Pomor State University, as a member of Board of UArctic, now she is a member of governing board of scientific and education center “Russian Arctic: new materials, technologies and research methods.
